Her first single “Charlottetown” has made it to #1 on Ici Musique, Sirius XM and been played across Canada. This success was recognized publicly by Sean Casey, member of Parliament for Charlottetown at the House Of Commons in September 2018. The past 3 years have been very busy for Karine as she joined the UK based company Belinda King Creative Productions as a singer for the casts of the Zaandam and Rotterdam ships for Holland America Line and the luxurious Seabourn Odyssey. Her travels across South America, Antarctica, USA, Canada, Central America and Europe have inspired the making of new songs with a fresh outlook on life.
In 2015, Karine was a part of the French Canadian version of the hit show The Voice, La Voix III. She was lucky enough to experience two different coaches and be a part of the live shows, seen by nearly 3 million viewers (65% of the Quebec market). Her rendition of Willie Nelson’s “Always On My Mind” with Mathieu Holubowski was proclaimed the most beautiful battle in the history of La Voix and made it on the album and Itunes top 5 sales in the province of Quebec.
Prior to that experience, Karine attended the ”Summer Musical Theatre Workshop” at Circle In the Square Theatre School in New York City, in the summer of 2014. She also obtained a college degree in popular music (vocals), from “Cégep Lionel-Groulx” in 2006. She has accumulated a lot of private lessons and mentoring throughout the years and has done more than 800 shows across Canada and the USA with different cover bands and projects. In addition to La Voix, Karine has taken part of a few TV shows such as “Decibel” and “Téléthon Opération Enfant Soleil” and she was a part of Canada’s TOP 12 in “Popstars 3: The One” in 2002.
In November 2012, Karine Ste-Marie released her first independant record named “Another Day”. Co-written with Marc-André Bourbonnais, this record is a colorful pop attitude journey with songs both in English and French. Her first single “Parler ma pensée” was a success in Quebec, making it to the top 40 charts and being #1 in a few stations.
Karine is an independent business woman and a passionate environmental activist who also practices yoga and meditation, teaching love and kindness wherever she may go.
